Editorial Guidelines

We are looking for writers to submit articles for this website that:

Focus on the Royal Navy or discuss the challenges and issues it faces. (We will also consider publishing pieces about the US Navy or Royal Australian Navy)
Relate to the current or future Royal Navy. (We are not a naval history site).
Are up-to-date, in clear English, accurate and written in layman’s language.
Are between approximately 600 – 2,000 words in length
Do not promote a political party

Authors will need to have specific expertise or insight into naval affairs to meet our quality standards. Please contact us if you are interested.

Submissions are subject to the editor’s approval before publishing. We do not publish advertorials or ‘paid-for’ promotional articles on unrelated subjects.

The discovery of more asbestos and decay has delayed her disposal. Hull strengthening required to enable 650 tons of ballast to be added to make her stable for towing. Need for favourable weather means she will probably be towed to Turkey for scrapping in Spring 2025.
